This page contains a list of descriptions of our ongoing events. Our one-time events are advertised on our front page and our Facebook. If you would like more information on these events please contact us.
Each Thursday at 16:30 at Greyfriars Convent we pray before the Blessed Sacrament for an increase of priestly vocations in our diocese. Silent Adoration is followed by Vespers, Rosary and Benediction. You are warmly invited to join us!
On every first Friday of each month our parish community gathers to worship Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. We begin with Mass at 10 am, silent Adoration until 17:00 and end with Vespers and Rosary around 17:30. We invite everyone to stop by for a few minutes of silent prayer or to sign-up for a 60 minute slot for each Friday this year. Come and be filled with God’s special graces.
Each Tuesday 16:00-17:15 Sacramental Preparation Classes are held at Greyfriars Convent. These classes prepare children (usually P3 & P4) for First Confession and First Communion and older youth (usually P7 & S1) for Confirmation. If you would like your child to receive one of these sacraments, please contact us.
This group meets on Mondays 19:30-21:00 in St. Sylvester’s Parish rooms. Whether you are seriously thinking about becoming Catholic or simply curious to find out more about the Catholic faith, these evening are for you. This is also a great opportunity to meet some parishioners from our pastoral area.
This club for Secondary School youth meets fortnightly on Wednesdays 19:30-21:00. Throughout the year our youth are also involved in service projects, retreats in Tomintoul, Kilcoy Castle, Craig Lodge, local and international pilgrimages and more!!! Last summer we went for World Youth Days in Poland where we gathered with some 2 million young Catholics from all around the world to meet Pope Francis and worship Jesus.
